Born in Puning, Guangdong in 1972, Jiang Heng graduated from the School of Fine Arts of South China Normal University, Guangzhou in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and has been teaching at the School of Arts and Design of Guangdong University of Technology since 1996 as Master’s Supervisor and Associate Professor (appointed in 2009). From September 1997 to July 1998, he graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts of South China Normal University, In 2023, Oriental University of Thailand, Royal University of Ulon Thani and Maha Salakan University will be invited as special doctoral supervisor，and from June 2005 to December 2008, he graduated from the School of Arts and Design of Wuhan University of Technology with a Master of Arts degree. From September 2007 to July 2009, he was a visiting scholar at Nankai University, and in 2010, he was appointed as Master’s Supervisor at the School of Fine Arts, South China Normal University, Guangzhou, where he established the “Jiang Heng Art Scholarship” in 2011. He established the “Jiang Heng Art Scholarship” at the School of Arts and Design of Guangdong University of Technology in 2014. His creative practice involves various art styles such as installation, video, painting, photography, multimedia, etc. He takes history and culture as the fulcrum of his artistic creation to different contemporary cultural fields, and plans and organizes various activities in the field of contemporary culture.
